Perdón por todos estos días sin dar señales de vida. El caso es que hace 11 días me atropelló un coche, y hasta ahora he estado en el hospital. No puedo forzar la vista, así que voy a estar unos cuantos días apartada de la red, pero en cuanto vuelva a estar bien me tendréis aquí de nuevo ;) Un beso y hasta pronto.

Selected Pandemonium

So when you were little, you always loved horror stories, specially the ones involving ghosts or living deads. Yeah, you were afraid, but you couldn't help but enjoying all of them. They were so life-altering! If that's the case, you may also enjoy Selected Pandemonium very much.

Selected Pandemonium, or Hyakkiyakou Shou in its Japanese name, it's a current running manga (15 vols in Japan till now), by Ima Ichiko. It's being published by Asahi Sonorama in its "Nemuki" magazine. This is the description of the series that etc... scanlations gives: "This is a series of stories dealing with ghosts, demons, monsters, and things that go bump in the night.
Ritsu inherited his sixth sense from his grandfather, along with a demon guardian named Blue Storm. Strange things just seem to happen around these two, and it's left to them to get to the bottom of all these mysterious events. Each story is independent but features recurring characters you'll come to know and appreciate as they, each in his own way, try to deal with things 'not of this world'. "

I started to read this manga quite a long time ago, and now it's one of my favourite running series. The artwork is not that great (except for the covers and the colored illustrations, which are quite impressive), but the story is really engaging. It's composed of long chapters with recurrent main characters, but each chapter tells an independent story that is, nevertheless, usually related to the others. Also, new characters can remain for the rest of the manga if they are important enough, or at least funny (and this is a comic with some really funny characters, I promise, :D). And don't worry of being too afraid: although there are some creepy tales here, the comedy is also everywhere, and you'll find yourself scared for a moment, and laughing in the next.

The site of the English scanlation group for this manga is this one. They're quite slow but, hey, they're the only ones scanlating this manga out there, and they haven't got much help.

El capítulo 23 todavía no se ha emitido en Japón, y el último será el 26 (crucemos los dedos para que todos los personajes importantes sigan vivos al final de la serie, xD). Estas capturas no contienen spoilers, son las de la página oficial y su único cometido es, como ya habréis supuesto, que os entren más ganas de las que ya teníais de ver los episodios que faltan, xD.

L'heure entre chien et loup

Aaaaagggh, hoy me han sacado un megatubo de sangre que 'pa qué, cuándo será el día que se puedan hacer análisis completos con una sola gota de sangre, xDDD. Menos mal que desde que existen calcetines sin costura el mundo va mejorando, que si no... xD.

Bueno, el caso es que hace unos días hablé de una serie que había empezado a ver, un kdrama llamado Time for Dog and Wolf protagonizado por Lee Junki. Ya entonces dije que apuntaba buenas maneras, pero creo que ni yo misma me daba cuenta de lo buenas que eran, xDDD. Quiero decir, si miráis el primer capítulo quizá no os llame mucho la atención, pero seguro que en pocos episodios acabáis enganchados totalmente, de verdad. El guión es muy bueno y emocionante, de esos que te tienen en vilo capítulo a capítulo, y cada vez más. Ayer terminé de ver el capítulo 11, y os prometo que al final del mismo me quedé con una cara de flipe impresionante, xDD. Esta serie mola, y mola mucho, y los actores van que ni pintados para sus papeles. Además Junki está demostrando ser un actor muy prometedor, en esta serie actúa de vicio ^O^. Y eso que a mí, antes de que rodara The King and the Clown, no me gustaba nada (lo había visto en la película Flying Boys, en que parecía de todo menos un actor prometedor, xD). Pues en Time for Dog and Wolf se pone en casi todas las situaciones imaginables en las que se puede poner un actor, y lo hace bien. Bueno, quizá exagero un poco con esto de todas las situaciones, quizá no todas, pero sí en muchas. Conozco gente que no lo tragaba y está asombrada con esta serie, de verdad. Además, para ser una serie de acción (tiene romance pero no es lo más importante), los ratings en Corea están siendo buenísimos, y suben semana a semana. Para que os hagáis una idea, una serie tiene una buena audiencia cuando llega al 10 %, Time for Dog and Wolf empezó en un 11 (probablemente por Junki, que si no habría tenido mucho menos nada más empezar), y ahora se encuentra casi en el 20 %, con lo que ha doblado la cifra inicial y se sitúa como el segundo programa más visto de los lunes y los martes coreanos. En fin, no sé si con esto conseguiré convencer a la gente para que la vea, pero os aseguro que no tiene desperdicio ^^. Especialmente recomendada además para aquellos a los que les gusten las historias de espías y mafiosos.

Por cierto, Time for Dog and Wolf hace referencia a la expresión francesa "l'heure entre chien et loup", que se refiere a su vez al momento del día en que la tarde se está convirtiendo en noche, es decir, al crepúsculo, en que aquello que ves se confunde fácilmente, de tal forma que tranquilamente puedes tomar un lobo por un perro, o viceversa, si no te fijas bien...

Mmmm, pretendía hacer el post corto, pero se ve que tengo afán de líder político, o por lo menos de algo que me permita manipular a las masas, xD.

You'd rather not miss it... Shinrei Gari / Ghost Hound

If you hadn't got enough with Seirei no Moribito, which is near to its end, now you are gonna be able to enjoy more of the outstanding Production I.G. work. To commemorate their 20th anniversary, the studio has come up with what's more likeably the most promising anime series for the upcoming fall season: Ghost Hound or, in its Japanese name, Shinrei Gari. Besides being produced and animated by Production I.G., this new anime has two famous, high ranked star artists making the script: Masamune Shirow and Chiaki Konaka, what automatically means this anime is going to be dark, serious, and psychological. This is enhanced by the fact that the director selected for Ghost Hound is Ryutaro Nakamura, the one responsible for Serial Experiments Lain.
